Description
1921 envelope to P.E. Georgopoulu, Poste Restante at Athens, franked with two 1ds and ½d, FE 5 Type F4B CDSs. On arrival at Athens it was forwarded to Cavalla, then returned to Athens and eventually to Port Stanley. Markings include three instructional applied at Athens; AGNOSTOSS/ INCONNU, RETOUR A L'ENVOYEUR and NON RECLAME, with Buenos Aires and South Georgia CDSs applied during the return journey, Manuscript endorsements and a (just legible) Port Stanley arrival complete the journey. Offered with a companion cover, from Georgopoulu in 1921 to Port Stanley, the return address showing that he was serving with the Greek Expeditionary Forces in Asia Minor at the time. Very unusual
