<p>1861 (29 Jan) large part front and upper flap from Charlottetown to St. Johns, Newfoundland, franked at the 9d rate by 1861, perf 9, 3d blue (shallow perfs at foot) and 6d yellow-green, tied by two strikes of 8-bar oval, with red crayon '4' credit mark and part red Charlottetown cds alongside, fine large part despatch cds on flap. A very rare and important first issue usage to this destination, early in the first month of issue. SG 3, 4.</p>
