Description
1892-1909 mint and used collection housed in an album, including 1892 first issue on wove paper with listed shades, (noted settings and clichés) and some blocks to complete sheets of 12 (SG 3 2put deep violet), 1893 laid paper ½ put orange-buff unused (SG 4 cat £1300, sadly creased), used examples in the listed shades (SG 4 cat £200, SG 4a cat £250 x3 and SG 4b cat £275 x2), 1894 wmk small umbrella range with shades, blocks and imperf singles, 1896 wmk ‘Arms’ 1put violet (SG 8 x8 cat £160 each) and later wmk Conch shell duplicated. 1898-1905 issue noted flaws and variations, perfs and with some multiples, 1 put pink variety on laid paper used with RPS Certificate (2017) SG 13b cat £2000 (sadly variously defective), 1902-03 on thick white paper issue with blocks, 1909 2 on 3p rosy mauve surcharge, with variety type 7b surcharge in pair with normal (SG 22c cat £250), blocks and multiples up to complete sheet of 40. Mixed condition, still a valuable lot with much interest and potential for the specialist.
