Description
1931-40 Pictorials and later surcharges, mint and used collection on pages, including 1931 set, with many noted perf types with compounds and the listed varieties, with ½a blue-green imperf horizontally between vertical pair (SG 45b cat £75), 1a with imperf between, offsets on reverse and imperf vertical strip of three (SG 46d cat £30 as pair), 2a violet with imperf betweens mint and used, 2a doubly printed and offsets on reverse, 4a olive-green with misperf single, 8a with imperfs, 1r imperf pair (SG 50d cat £80), 2r imperf vertical pair (SG 51a cat £40), 2r in block of six showing upwards shift of vignette (as a result of paper folds). 3r tête-bêche used pair, chocolate centre omitted, 5r with centre inverted (SG 53b cat £250). 1939-40 surcharges with ‘1 As.' on 1r chestnut error surcharge inverted (SG 55a cat £600, sadly creased at foot). Mixed condition in places, mostly fine. SG 45-55
