Description
1930-45 mint and used collection on pages, including 1p with vertical pair top printed inverted on back, bottom normal upright (SG 31a) and a vertical pair and in strip of eight. 1p violet in two tête-bêche vertical pairs resembling a block of four and single pair (SG 33a cat £85 a pair), ½a deep olive unused block of 42 (SG 34 cat £140+), a single ½a deep olive, partially overinked impression showing ‘P’ missing, ½a red-brown unused block of 24 (SG 35 cat £180+), ½a red (one showing partial double impression, described on RPS cert as fortuitous) ½a grey-brown scarcer shades (x2 SG 38 cat £150 each), 1a green in large block of 64 (SG 39 cat £250+), 1a lake-brown used (SG 40b cat £110), 1a red (SG 41 cat £300, with four large margins), 2a light blue with tête-bêche pairs, 2a greenish grey (SG 43 cat £180 used), and 4a carmine with tête-bêche pairs. Mixed condition in places but mostly fine. SG 31-44
