<p>1933 registered envelope to Buenos Aires, addressed to the Canteen Manager on HMS Dauntless, correctly franked at 5½d (2½d postage plus 3d registration), the Centenary 1½d and 4d tied by 26 AU datestamps. &nbsp;Endorsed ‘via Montevideo’ and ‘Per S.S. Lafonia’. &nbsp;CERTIFICADOS/ 1/ CENTRAL arrival on front. &nbsp;The stamps were not recognised by the Argentinian postal authorities and a charge was raised, a boxed ‘A COBRAR/ 40.90/ DE CARGO - B. AIRES’ &nbsp;marking on reverse, along with a variety of official manuscript endorsements. &nbsp;Some faults (tear at top, slight soiling) but an exceptional registered item. &nbsp;SG 129, 132</p>
