<p>1896 OHMS registered envelope to New Jersey bearing 1895 2d and 9d, both first printings, each tied by JU 7 cds. &nbsp;Crown registered mark and London transit on front, the reverse with embossed Royal Arms and New York transit (25. 7). &nbsp;Minor creasing due to (obviously heavy) contents, but a rare double-rate franking, apparently 4d postage x 2 plus 2d registration, overpaid 1d. &nbsp;Carried on ‘Memphis’ to Punta Arenas and ‘Orcana’ thence to London. &nbsp;SG 25, 35</p>
