1920s-1940s collection of Air Mails including: 1920 3c on 15c surcharge type 71 (Bars 10½mm apart) on cover to Scotland bearing St Johns machine cancel for SEP 13 1920, 1921 three covers addressed to Halifax each franked by 1921 35c opt by type 72, tied by either St John's cds or machine cancel (all three ex Cyril Harmers Harmers 26.2.2002 Lot 2030), 1931 Hoiris Hillig flight covers one franked by Newfoundland 6c slate (SG 154) tied by Harbour Grace cds for JUN 24 1931, signed by both pilots, second cover to New York bearing USA 2c and Danish 25ore, also signed by the pilots and a photograph of the plane also signed. 1932 Trans-Atlantic Flight cover to Germany bearing $1.50 on $1 deep blue tied by St John's machine cancel for MAY 19 (with BPA Cert) and similar cover addressed to Manchester, numerous other first flights with an array of special marks and cachets. Mixed condition, a lot for the postal historian.
