<p>1897 registered “Goubert” cover sent locally in Freetown bearing 1897 right marginal strip of 3 2½d on 1s dull lilac, opt Type 8 from Pos. 8-10 of the opt setting (Pos. 9 with broken large 2), each cancelled by a strike of a Freetown cds for SP 17 97 with red registered oval at right for the same date and oval framed ‘R’ below. A very fine and neat cover. BPA Certificate (2016), SG 63.</p>
