<p>1897 2½d on 3d dull purple and green, lower half of the sheet (10x3) showing the complete setting of 30, with complete selvedge and Plate plug ‘1’ at left and right, with 22 examples of Type 8 (SG 55), 5 of Type 10 (SG 56), 2 of Type 11 (SG 57), and 1 of Type 11 (SG 58). Mint, o.g. with very light reinforcements (mainly in the margin), a few folds and the odd slight imperfection of little importance as this is a scarce survivor. A very ideal piece for studying the setting. BPA cert (1999), SG 55/58, £1,602 as singles.</p>
