1840 1d black, Plate 6 (BG), with good to large margins on cover addressed within Glasgow, tied by watery dull red-purple Maltese Cross with a solid centre and backstamped with No “37” R.H. mark and Glasgow single arc cd and boxed handstamp for 12 DE 1840. Cover with a vertical crease and some aging, but still a very rare and most attractive cover. SG 2.
