1878-1940s mint and used collection arranged in three stock-books, including: QV range of printings, some identified (not checked), with examples optd SPECIMEN, with 1878-79 6d blue-green and 1s bistre-brown, 1889 1d red-brown (SG 11 £350), 1891 ½d blue-green (SG 15) mint block of four, ½d deep yellow-green (SG 17) mint block of four, 1d reddish chestnut (SG 19 £120) mint pair, 2½d Prussian blue (SG 29 £325) and examples optd ‘SPECIMEN’, 2½d deep ultramarine (SG 30c cat £240), mint block of four, 6d orange-yellow optd ‘SPECIMEN’ (SG 33s), 9d salmon shade, 1898 high values and optd SPECIMEN examples, 1s yellow-brown used on piece with South Georgia underprint, with South Georgia cds, KEVII 1904-12 ranges with optd ‘SPECIMEN’ set of 8 (SG 43-50 cat £600), KGV 1912-20 values to 10s with 5s maroon used on piece by Fox Bay cancel, noted shades and minor varieties, 1918-20 War Stamp opts collection with noted varieties and duplication, 1929-37 ‘Whale & Penguin’ set to £1 with some mint blocks and assorted covers, 1935 Silver Jubilee assortment, KGVI 1938-50 values to £1, with mint and used blocks, some plate/requisition blocks, some postal history, generally fair to fine condition, careful sorting sure to reward.
