1840 2d Mulready Envelope (Forme 1, Stereo a203). Very fine used example sent from Liverpool to Birmingham, neatly cancelled with a black MC and backstamped accordingly for MY.8.1841. Also showing a black imprint on lower flap "Webb, L'pool" for Waring Webb of Liverpool (MA490g). Extremely rare, one of only two recorded examples of these imprints on a 2d Mulready. Ex. "Mayflower".
