<p>1840 Mulready 1d wrapper (Forme 3, Stereo A67), addressed to the designer ‘W Mulready Esq RA, London’ and re-directed to his home address at ‘Kinders Grove Baywater’, cancelled by light red Maltese Cross and charged ‘1’ in manuscript, backstamped with a range of datestamps, the envelope with various retouches and additions to the design by the anonymous writer and inside a note simply stating ‘What an ass you must be to make such a thing’. A most unusual Mulready item and one for the specialist collector. Superb. ME1&nbsp;</p>
