Very fine used example sent from Alfreton to London neatly cancelled by a crisp orange-red MC, backstamped by a black Alfreton dispatch cds for MY.31.1840 (the fourth sunday) and a red London arrival datestamp for the following day. An attractive and scarce sunday “May date“ usage.
