1842 Uniform Penny Post. Very fine entire sent from New Pitsligo to Aberdeen cancelled by a superb strike of a handstruck New Pitsligo "1" handstamp in red with a black "NEW PITSLIGO" straight line handstamp on reverse with a Mintlaw boxed transit datestamp for MY.2.1842 and and Aberdeen arrival boxed datestamp for the following day. Very rare, possibly unique. Ex Peter Chadwick FRPSL Gold Medal Collection.
