Specialised bird thematic collection, housed in 34 large stock books, vast majority in complete sets and includes miniature sheets (the owner collected full sets even if there was only one stamp featuring a bird in the set), the modern material is largely unmounted mint. Arranged by country and in date order, with date and SG numbers noted. Many better sets, e.g. Cayman Islands 1935 set to 10s (part o.g.), 1962 set to £1 (fresh large part o.g.), Falklands 1929 to 10s (large part o.g.), 1952 set to £1 (large part o.g.), Fiji 1959 set to £1 (large part o.g,), Greenland 1945 set to 5k (part o.g.), etc. Largely complete to 2003, with an owner's catalogue value well in excess of £30,000 (2003 SG values).
