POSTAL HISTORY: 1880s to 1910 collection of six covers and wrappers, mostly advertising including: 1888 illustrated ‘Frank Murray’ pre-printed newspaper wrapper franked by Jubilee ½d, 1896 'Nobel's Sporting & Rifle Ballistite' printed enveloped to sterling, franked by Jubilee ½d pair tied by Glasgow cds for OC 12, 1900 printed ‘Ewens Weekley Stamp News’ long envelope to Paris, tied by ½d Jubilee, bearing ‘Re-Tour AL’ENVOYEUR' and boxed Postage Due, Return to Sender ½d mark, 1901 ‘Quaker Oats’ printed 1d postal stationery envelope, uprated by Jubilee 1½d tied by Eastcheap hooded London d/s addressed to Belgium, 1900, Army Official ½d blue-green pair on O.H.M.S cover, tied by Oxford Street B.O. Southampton squared circle. and 1909 hand illustrated cover depicting two boys, one carrying a box with the address and the other ‘carrying’ the stamp, a KEVII 1d, with holly decoration boarder at top, generally fair to fine condition, attractive group.
