<p>1887-92 stamp-sized die proofs for the duty Plates, Die I and II, mounted to DLR striking book piece (53x53mm), endorsed ‘12 Leads from each/die. for repairs’ and dated ‘Feb 1st 1887’. Each die proof signed ‘GFS’ at foot and respectively endorsed ‘1st Die’ and ‘2nd Die’, however DLR endorsed both dies incorrectly and ‘1st' and ‘2nd’ should be transposed. A most interesting and unique item. For SG 207/207a, £3,800.</p>
