<p>1887-92 4d pair of die proofs for the Duty Plate only, printed in black on white glazed card (92x60mm), one for Die 1a dated for ‘20 MAR 86’, the other for Die 1b, with the Duty Plate inverted dated ‘8 JUN. 86’ and endorsed ‘BEFORE HARDENING’. The latter with clipped corner, still a fine pair. For SG 205, £3,800.</p>
