1856 well written-up collection in green Philatelic Album of Die II Alphabet III 1d reds with complete, or near complete, reconstructions of C8 plates 23 (365 with many extras) including blocks of 8, 6 (3) and 4 (3), strips of 7 (1), 4 (3), 3 (5), then plates 24 (238), 25 (232), 26 (231), 27 (240), 28 (238), 29 (240) and 30 (239). Cancellations including superb Leith experimental etc. Well above average condition, many fine/very fine. A lifetime's work. Plating not guaranteed though a sample check were all correct; careful inspection strongly recommended for the specialist. Spec.C8. SG 29-33 (2000+ stamps)
