1873 9d Die proof. Very fine example printed in brown on white glazed card without corner letters or plate numbers. Inscribed on reverse "Dark Brown". These proofs were made for the proposed issue with coloured corner letters, the issue was eventually abandoned due to a change in postal rates. Very rare. Ex. Latto.
