1855 1d Red brown Pl.34. Very fine used example lettered QG, neatly tied to a small piece by a fine strike of the Glasgow 159 "Madeleine Smith" experimental duplex in green for MY.5.1856. The stamp also shows an interesting pre-printing paper fold at upper right. Rare, the use of green ink with this experimental cancellation appears to be restricted to only the first two weeks in May.
