1922 9d Olive-green colour trials. A superb unused o.g. imperforate block of four printed in turquoise-blue on unwatermarked paper, mounted on thick card (95 x 123mm). Card endorsed in manuscript "Essay for Colour only" at top, "G.4., 27.7.22" and "Stamping Dept, Inland Revenue, Somerset House W.C.2" at foot. Extremely attractive and rare.
