1863-77 group of Transatlantic mail to Canada comprising: 1863 cover to Lunenburgh, Nova Scotia, franked by 6d pale lilac (SG 70) and tied by London "NW/10" duplex for MY 4 60, and carried by Cunard steamer "Europa" to Boston , with a Nova Scotia receiving cds on reverse for the 16th, 1866 envelope to North Douro nr Peterboro prepaid at the single 8d rate per 1/2oz by a horizontal pair of 4d vermillions Pl. 7 (SG 93), tied by two London E.C. "90" duplexes for MY 11 66 and sent via Liverpool per Cunard steamer "Cuba" to Boston, and 1877 cover to Ontario franked by 2 1/2d rosy-mauve Pl. 5 (SG 141) and tied by a neat Torquay "805" duplex for FE 28 77, carried by Allan Line steamer "Moravian" from Liverpool via Moville, Halifax and Portland, with an Ontario receiving cds on reverse for MR 14. A fine and attractive trio.
