1855 British Post Offices Abroad. Very fine cover from Tampico to Vera Cruz via the British Post Office at Tampico, prepaid at the 1s interport rate as indicated in red manuscript with a crisp upright red Tampico type CC1b Crowned circle handstamp at upper right and a Mexican Post Office cds at lower left for 30th August. Backstamped with a red BPO Tampico double arc cds for AU.30.1855 and a black handstruck "1" of the Mexican Post Office indicating a 1 reale charge for delivery. Very scarce so fine. SG CC1
