1840 Southgate No.1 'Pick Pocket' Mulready caricature. Very fine used example sent from London to Exeter, cancelled by a red London 'PAID' Maltese cross datestamp for JU.20.1840, prepaid in cash as indicated by a red manuscript '1'. Most attractive and rarely seen so fine.
