1850s-1960s QV-QEII mint collection housed in an album, including 1864-79 assorted 1d rose-red plates to Plate 225 (SG 43 cat £2500, sadly without gum), and other line-engraved issues, with strength in surface-printed with representation of values to 2s (with shades), 1867-83 high values wmk Maltese Cross 5s rose (SG 126 cat £6000), 10s greenish grey optd ‘SPECIMEN’ (SG 128s cat £3750), £5 orange left marginal (SG 137 cat £10,000), 1883-84 lilac & green set (SG 187-196 cat £3000), 1887-1900 Jubilees to 1s (both) with some blocks, and £1 green in top left marginal vertical pair (SG 212 cat £9500+), 1902-13 KEVIII values to £1 (from both DLR & Somerset House printings) some shades and ½d part booklet pane of 4 with ‘St. Andrews Cross’ label, KGV 1913 Seahorses to £1 (SG 403 cat £2800), 1929 PUC 2½d blue wmk inverted (SG 437 cat £2000), £1 black (SG 438 cat £750), some other noted inverted watermarks, KGVI and QEII issues. Officials with QV Government Parcels issues optd ‘SPECIMEN’. Mixed condition, still a valuable lot.
