<p>Postal Stationery. 1924 (29 APR) ½d green (137 x 80mm - with embossing under flap) and 1d red (124 x 96mm - without embossing) “Admiral” envelopes, Falk correspondence, both used from Umtali to Gwelo, cancelled by good to fine strikes of UMTALI / S. RHODESIA cds with legible arrival backstamps, dated “1 MAY 1924”. Trivial blemishes but a rare and attractive pair, the 1d envelope with m/s “T1d” tax marking as the inland letter rate had increased to 1½d in 1921.</p>
