1949 (12 SEP) locally addressed registered cover with 1947 "Crown Colony" $2 violet and olive-green, from left of sheet (R6/1, with part centre guide) VARIETY IMPERFORATE BETWEEN STAMP AND MARGIN, neatly tied by type R13 "REGISTRATION/SANDAKAN" cds, with blue/orange registration label alongside.  One short perf in margin, and trivial bends, mentioned for accuracy, but an important KGVI rarity.  Only ten examples existed, from one sheet, and most survive in unused condition, with R5/1 also used, but off-cover.  Probably the unique usage on cover.
