POSTAL HISTORY: 1837 entire letter to London rated at 6/2, paying the 1¾ oz letter rate, endorsed ''Via Singapore''; reverse bearing 9/3 rate in m/s with PINANG boxed h/s dated 1837 21 MR POST OFFICE in red with FALMOUTH SHIP LETTER and London marks, with latter dated 19 SEP 19. Entire a little fragile and sensibly reinforced in places, still very rare with only a handful of the boxed PINANG h/s recorded.
