Description
1938-52 mint collection in green stockbook, some affecting by toning or foxing but with some very fine material, well worth viewing. 1938 basic set is hinged otherwise the great majority seem to be unmounted. Numerous blocks with minor varieties, also Plate blocks and some listed flaws. We note ½d green long ‘E’ block, fine; ½ green block with ‘accent’ flaw, lightly toned; ½d myrtle-green long ‘E’ in block of twenty-four, light even toning; ½d brown-purple long ‘E’ block from both printings; 2d grey three Plate blocks (two are toned) and short ‘T’ single, hinged and toned; short ‘T’ 2d blocks with two x scarlet (both toned) and three x green (two lightly toned); 1/- eleven Plate blocks from various printings, including first, and a right pane with R5/2 recut ‘ILLI’; 5/- six Plate blocks, including first printing (treacly gum). Also ½d green left pane of 60 with R9/6 long ‘E’, 1948 Eleuthera set in toned blocks, etc
