1857-73 comprehensive collection of Chalon Heads, mixed mint and used, many listed and identified by Campbell Paterson catalogue, including: 1855 2d & 1/- green on blued paper, 1857-63 values with some listed shades on 2d, 6d bistre-brown shade and 6d chestnut (SG 15 cat £950) 1/- dull emerald-green, 1862-64 imperf values with 3d brown-lilac and shades on 2d, 6d and 1/-, 1862-64 perf 13 types with 1d carmine-vermilion, 2d with worn plates, 1/- dull green, 1862-63 pelure paper 1d, 2d and 1/- deep green, (the latter with certificate) 1864 Wmk ‘N Z’ imperf types to 1/-. 1864-71 Wmk large star perf 12½ assortment to 1/- with duplication, noted shades (many Campbell Paterson listings), 3d lilac and 3d deep mauve as provisional imperf singles used, 4d deep rose and 4d yellow (shades), 6d shades well represented, 1871-73 mixture of perf types, with 3d and 6d optd ‘SPECIMEN’ for presentation purposes, perf 12½ duplicated ranges with shades and 1873 wmk ‘NZ’ 2d vermilion used, mixed condition with fine, careful examination sure to reward.
