1909 4d Colour trial. Very fine example printed in purple on gummed, Crown watermarked paper. Produced for the monocolour issue using the original bi-coloured plates. Trimmed perforations at top left and a pulled perf at lower right neverthless very rare, no more than two or three examples of each colour recorded in private hands. Ex. " Aurelius" & "Minoru".
