Great Britain 1882 1/- purple Plate 14 (CH) line perforated 14. Originally printed in this colour for the surcharged unified issue, however the Telegraph branch objected to the 1/- value which was subsequently cancelled before issue. This example originates from a small portion of the imprimatur sheet which was perforated line perf 14 and included in the souvenir albums for members of the "Stamp Committee of 1884". fine o.g.
