Unappropriated Dies: 1907-08 pair of Appendix Sheets bearing trials for appropriation ink, showing six different impressions with dummy 'D.L.R. & Co./ LONDON.' in place of duty plates, the left columns showing the original, the right columns labelled 'treated with alcohol' to demonstrate that the ink could not be fully removed thus protecting against forgery. A technically interesting and unique record, ex De La Rue archives.
