Admiralty Court: 1868 first issue (wmk Scales) marginal block of FORTY (20x2), (concertina folded for display), each opt 'SPECIMEN' Type 1, large part o.g. the vast majority unmounted. A UNIQUE and spectacular showpiece comprising the top two rows of the sole sheet known, not only demonstrating the highly unusual composite sheet format (with marginal arrows indicating where the column of each value starts) format but also showing plate number one at left, crowned control handstamp in blue, and current number 320 at right.
