1881 12c to 50r set of 8 original values (complete but for the 25r) part to large part yellowed o.g. each overprinted serifed ‘CANCELLED’ in red (Samuel type CE2), believed to have been used for local presentation sets. Some peripheral faults from poor storage, of little importance as this set is highly likely to be a unique set as not a single example of this overprint was found in the exemplary ‘Tabrobana’ collection of Ceylon Telegraphs. cat (as normal mint stamps £2,500+)
