Seychelles 1906 KEVII Revenue Striking Book Die Proofs

1905 (Dec 6) - 1906 (March 31) four pieces from the De La Rue striking book, with a total of TEN stamp-size duty die proofs (4c, 5c, 10c, 25c, 40c, 50c, 1r, 1r25, 2r50, 5r) in black on glazed card, prepared in connexion with the 1906 KEVII revenue issue, respectively endorsed 'Dec 6 / 60 leads' (5r), 'Dec 11 Dec 12 / 60 leads each' (4c, 1r), 'March 16 March 30 / 60 leads each' (5c, 10c, 25c, 40c, 50c), and 'March 30 March 31 / 60 leads each' (1r25, 2r50), all further endorsed in RED 'Jan 31 06' or 'Apr 18 06' (indicating the invoice date). Although ten values were prepared, only the 4c, 50c, 1r, 2r50 and 5r were issued as part of the 1906 revenue issue. The 4c, 50c, 1r and 5r were also issued as part of the KGV postage and revenue series in 1920-21, along with the previously unissued 5c and 25c. The 10c, 40c and 1r25 remained unissued throughout.
