Court Fee: 1926, complete Ledger pages (3) bearing TWENTY stamp-sized die proofs in black on glazed card plus one bromide, with appropriate M/S captions giving die numbers, each handstamped 'CANCELLED' in red, the second page also including a bromide of the 2a value, with three progressive proofs showing corrections- the pages interestingly headed ‘DE LA RUE’S DIES' and so relevant to the contract transfer to Nasik printers. A wonderful and UNIQUE array of proofs, from the proof book presented to Royal Mint engraver H. A. Richardson on his retirement (when the red 'CANCELLED' handstamp was applied). A superb archival record ideal for exhibition [N.B. The second page was double sided- so the proofs on the reverse have been removed and applied to a high quality copy for display.]
