We are delighted to offer a Splendid Genesis in our premier auction. The fabled Magic the Gathering card has a legendary backstory - Given out exclusively at the christening of Richard Garfield's daughter there is roughly 125 of these in the world. This particular version was given to Julian Snape, a former manager at the UK branch of Wizards of the Coast, unfortunately Julian wasn't able to make the event but was still sent the card along with a hand written message by Garfield, the creator of Magic the Gathering.
The card has a couple of notable issues that are not visible on a scan. There is a slight crease in the top corner of the card and a slight crease at the bottom of the card. Neither crease are very visible and only become apparent under light at a certain angle. This card is notorious for printing issues as it was specifically designed and printed for the event. This is the definition of Magic history.
