The MBE Great War Pair entitled to The Order of St Anne group of 3 to Driver Gulielma. Ewart Richardson (later Mrs Witts) British Red Cross & St. John of Jerusalem, French Red Cross Chauffeur Scottish Women’s Hospital America Unit 3-Aug-16 1-Jul-17, who was also the Owner and Driver of a Car for the British Red Cross in Salonika from September 1917, for which Service she was awarded the M.B.E., comprising M.B.E. When Gulielma Ewart Richardson was born on 3 November 1890, in Taunton, Somerset, England, United Kingdom, her father, Henry James Richardson, was 35 and her mother, Marianne Ramsay Ewart, was 34. She married Maj John Travell Witts MBE on 28 October 1918. She lived in Tavistock, Devon, England in 1901 and Tormohun, Devon, England, United Kingdom in 1911. She died on 15 March 1976, in Poole, Dorset, England, at the age of 85, and was buried in Upper Slaughter, Gloucestershire, England.
