1938 ½d black and violet, perf 13½, corner block of fifteen with light overall toning.  From the very earliest part of the first printing, showing no long central bar to 'E' on R2/3.  Probably about 150 sheets without the flaw were originally printed, but not many survived in identifiable multiples.  Unmounted o.g., folded between the second and third columns leaving the block slightly 'floppy', but a rare piece.  Note that the variety is known on Specimens, demonstrating that such were not necessarily taken from the very earliest sheets printed.  Written up on album page
