1895 COLEMAN PROVISIONAL: envelope addressed locally with manuscript "half penny received/in money" and postmasters’ signature, Durban (21 Mar) double-ring ds overlapping, violet ‘POSTMASTER OF DURBAN’ hs alongside. In March 1895 there was a shortage of ½d stamps that led to provisional overprinting of ½d on 6d stamps. Between the 18th and 23rd March (excluding Sunday the 19th) J,W.
