1840 1d Mulready Envelope. Very fine example uprated with a four margin 1d Black Pl.7 lettered CC, both neatly cancelled by black MC's with a red boxed “PAID 1d Extra“ alongside adhesive. Sent from Edinburgh to Arbroath with a red Edinburgh cds on reverse for MR.8.1841. Stamp lifted and replaced for inspection with a small scissor cut in lower left margin and a couple of minor peripheral faults to envelope as to be expected nevertheless a very presentable and attractive uprated Mulready. 1996 BPA Cert.
