Space Detective #3 and Space Western Comics #45 (Avon/Charlton, 1952-1953).
This lot includes: Space Detective #3 The Avenger and Chameleon cover by Everett Raymond Kinstler. Featuring “Pearl Ship of Death”, "Sea Nymphs of Neptune!" and “Mole Woman of Jupiter!” each with art by Tex Blaisdell.
With, Space Western Comics #45 Spurs Jackson cover by Stan Campbell. Featuring six stories with art by Stan Campbell and “Tomorrow the Universe” story by Walter Gibson.
Grades: Space Detectives: 0.5, PR. Front cover detached, heavy damage to spine with pieces missing and small tears, chips around the edges of cover, fold to bottom right corner with piece missing, tape residue to bottom left corner, stamp on cover, tape residue and tanning to interior page, tape residue to back cover, chips and pieces missing from left side of back cover, back cover detached from top staple, small tear to bottom right of four pages of comic, and tanned to cream pages. This comic has been restapled, centrefold is attached.
Space Western Comic: 1.8, GD-. Front cover detached from staples but attached by the back cover, hole to spine above and below top staple, multiple spine stress lines that break colour, lines across cover that break colour, inch long tear to top of spine, tear to both staples on back cover, tanned back cover, lines and discolouration on back cover, chips and small tears present, stamp on front cover, rip to the side of the three pages at the start of the comic, fold to bottom right corner of first page, centrefold attached and tanned to cream pages.
