1944 (1 DEC) locally addressed cover bearing Trengganu (without Japanese Opt) 1c black, and 1c grey-green 2c pale emerald and 3c drab 1943 pictorials, each with type TT1 'TRENGGANU' opt each in BLOCKS OF FOUR, centrally cancelled by ‘Kuala Trengganu’ dated ‘1 DEC’ (the earliest recorded date) and backstamped with the same postmark on the same day. An extraordinary franking, this cover bearing FOUR OF THE FIVE KNOWN 1c black, with the 1c grey-green also of the highest rarity, this the only known blocks of either stamp. A standout cover of the entire issue, and an extraordinary showpiece which would be a Crown Jewel of any Japanese Occupation collection. SG TT1 (listed but unpriced), TT19/21
