Benares.  1921 Court Fee Die Proofs, die-sunk on wove paper.  1a complete (83 x 62mm) on piece of unglazed paper 115 x 67mm, and two 1r proofs on glazed paper; one an early stage lacking State name and the shading to the panel for manuscript  (87 x 83mm) on larger piece (150 x 145mm) which has been folded for display (crease, well clear of design), and complete ('Last' pencilled on reverse) 87 x 80mm with 15mm side margins.
