1840 1d black, Plate 3, (IJ), with four good margins, tied to small piece by crisp blue Studley undated double arc town postmark. This item is believed to be unique as the only 1d black with a blue udc recorded, and only one other blue Studley udc is known, that being on a 1d red cover (ex Maximus pt. 3, lot 73). An exhibition worthy piece and an item of remarkable philatelic rarity. RPS cert (2025), Spec. AS20var; and to be listed in the next QV Specialised catalogue. At least as scarce as the yellow postmark which catalogues £40,000.&nbsp;
