1841 1d Red brown Pl.35. Very fine used large four margin horizontal pair lettered GH-GI with a large vertical scissor cut between impressions almost separating the pair, each neatly tied to a small envelope by a crisp London No.2 MC. Sent from London to Chipping Norton and backstamped by a London dispatch datestamp for JY.20.1843. & a Chipping Norton arrical cds for the following day. A lovely quality item.
